Google CEO Eric Schmidt just jumped on stage at the Web 2.0 Summit and was immediately asked about a new device and a new OS by the presenters. So what happened? He actually pulled it out to show off a location service. That’s beside the point though as the device was the story here. From the quick blurry shot we grabbed above, you can see that it’s definitely a Samsung device, most likely the Nexus S. Oh and notice the dark notification bar and green highlights? Hello Android 2.3.
He also mentioned that Gingerbread would be coming out in the “next couple of weeks.”
