AT&T CFO John Stephens announced that this Sunday his network would finally be making the leap from HSPA+ to the almighty LTE. Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston and San Antonio will start being bathed in blue LTE waves this weekend and they have said that they hope to be in 15 markets by the years end.

This is certainly exciting news but I doubt that this will make that $700 HTC Jetstream seem more appealing. Now we can hope for phones like the Samsung Impulse to finally make it to market, unfortunately AT&T has yet to announce LTE smartphone pricing plans. Let’s just hope the speeds of their network are faster than what they’ve been clocked at lately. Any AT&T customers in the house excited for this kind of speed?
