Finally some good news is coming out of the proposed AT&T/T-Mobile acquisition. After weeks of negative press towards the merger, TmoNews has acquired an internal employee FAQ. The document shines some positive light on the after-effects of the acquisition and should ease the nerves of T-Mobile customers. It appears that current T-Mobile customers will be able to keep their current rate plans while on AT&T. Even better news, customers will also be grandfathered into their plans even after their current contract expires.

However, the question on everybody’s mind is just how long will customers be grandfathered in for. What happens when you are looking to upgrade to a new phone, can you renew your grandfathered contract?
