Yes, your AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile smartphone features this software, however all the carriers claim that they do not collect personal data. Although this wouldn’t be the first time a large corporation has lied to the public. This morning Senator Al Franken fired off a letter to Carrier IQ and requested answers regarding their practices.
