Well it is finally official. Sony has bought out the remaining share of Sony Ericsson. The buyout cost them $1.37 billion but they now own the whole stake of Sony Ericsson and are planning to drop the “Ericsson.” What does this mean from here on out? Well They are called Sony Mobile Communications now and we should see all upcoming phones released under the “Sony” name only. Mobile World Congress at the end of this month is when we should see the first signs of this. Let us hope that this is a new beginning of sorts for Sony, their upcoming Xperia line looks to be a hit.
