Sprint has officially announced which US city will be the first test city for their brand new 4G LTE network. If you are a citizen of Kankakee, Illinois then prepare for some better Sprint data speeds. With a population of just around 27,000, it is small but also just big enough to put in some good testing on the new network.

As far as why this particular city was chosen, Sprint hasn’t given word. Maybe everyone in the city will be given a new Galaxy Nexus for testing the 4G. Would be sweet, right?
