Sony has released an update as to when owners of the Xperia Arc S, Xperia Neo V, and Xperia Ray can expect Ice Cream Sandwich to hit their devices. As reported earlier in March, Sony said that mid-April would be the estimated time that ICS could be rolled out, and Sony is looking to stay inside that given time frame. According to Sony, they are currently “progressing as planned,” so that’s good to hear.

The Sony software upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for our 2011 Xperia smartphones; Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray is progressing as planned and we are continuing the rollout across markets globally. In order to upgrade your 2011 Xperia smartphone you will need to connect to a PC or Mac – please visit and follow the instructions.

Do we have any Xperia device owners still patiently awaiting the update?
